OJC Cosmetology Salon opened to the public on Wednesday October 5. Open weekly
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call 719-384-6990 to make an
appointment.
OJC Lecture Series begins on Friday, October 7 with Dr. Leo Maslov presenting a
one hour lecture on “Dostoevsky, His Life and His Novels.” The lecture will
review the social and political situation in 19th century Russia as reflected in
Nietzsche Dostoevsky’s novels, Crime and Punishment, The Idiot, The Possessed,
Brothers Karamazov, and many others. The lecture will begin at 3 p.m. in McBride
Hall, room 137. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Saturday, October 8 is the PTK Race Against Cancer at La Junta City Park.
Participants may come to walk or run anytime between 9 a.m. and 12 noon at the
south gazebo in the City Park.
Monday, October 10 is Professional Development Day at OJC. There will be no
daytime classes held on campus. Evening classes will meet.
