MINORITY FAMILY ADVOCATE FOR MISSION POSSIBLE
Mission Possible is looking for someone fluent in both Spanish and English
languages to work with minority females. This position has the responsibility of
advocating for minority youth and their families who are involved with the
juvenile justice system. The Minority Family Advocate will assist minority youth
and her family in navigating through the court process, ensuring appearances on
required court dates and helping to access appropriate resources and services as
needed.

JOB LOCATION: Denver, CO
QUALIFICATIONS: Spanish fluency required. Must have dedication and sensitivity
to serving the civil legal needs of migrant farm workers and low income persons.
Prior paralegal experience required, and Legal Services experience highly
desirable.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: The Grant Paralegal will split time between the
Migrant Farm Worker Division and the Statewide Advocacy Support; and provide
litigation support in employment cases and administrative support for
educational trainings on unfair employment practices under a grant from the US
Department of Justice.

Position: Paralegal/Pro Bono Coordinator Durango Office Colorado Legal
Services, Inc. and Southwest Bar Volunteer Legal Aid, Inc.
Responsibilities: Maintain general caseload in civil cases ( including but not
limited to dissolution of marriage, domestic violence, social security, consumer
law, landlord tenant relationship and employment law), including client intake,
interviews, investigation, research, referrals, education/outreach under the
direction of the Managing Attorney. Work closely with the Southwest Bar
Volunteer Legal Aid, Inc. Board of Directors in coordinating and advancing the
objectives of pro bono legal availability in Southwest Colorado under the
direction of the Managing Attorney.
Qualifications: Prefer prior paralegal or equivalent experience or degree in
paralegal studies, experience with computer skills including Work, Windows and
database, interest in poverty law, and working with low income and senior
clients.
Salary / Benefits: Depending on Experience $22,602 to $ 40,121 with excellent
