Call Center Representative – (Outbound)
for Freedom Special Forces Call Center - bilingual candidates needed!!!

We are seeking experienced, highly successful, outbound call-center representatives for a start-up outbound call center effort at The Gazette spearheaded by Freedom Communications, Inc.

Freedom Communications, Inc., headquartered in Irvine, Calif., is a national privately owned information and entertainment company of print publications, broadcast television stations and interactive businesses. In addition to the television group, the company’s portfolio includes 33 daily and 77 weekly newspapers. This fast-paced outbound call center will support the advertising divisions at our newspapers across the country.

Selected candidates will promote the value of newspaper advertising, both print and online, and sell classified advertising, as well as other special projects, for Freedom newspapers through outbound calling to prospective advertisers.

We want to hire only the best outbound call center reps in Colorado Springs who have demonstrated a superior level of customer service. Our call center reps will prepare and deliver consistent outbound sales calls at the rate of 30 per hour and type 30 wpm.

Candidates will have the ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Bi-lingual (Spanish) candidates a plus. Experience with MS Office Suite and ability to work in a window-based and web enabled desktop environment is also needed.

Selected candidates must have experience performing highly successful outbound calling sales techniques utilizing market research information, sales tools, product knowledge, and telephone solicitation protocol. Demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly, simply, and accurately using proper business tone, grammar and punctuation. Ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to gain acceptance of an idea, plan, service, or product.
Our call center environment will be fast-paced and fun. You will work full-time and will be eligible for company benefits. A requirement for this position is a minimum of six months of successful outbound call selling in an outbound call center environment.

Research Interviewer Opportunities

Employment opportunities are available for candidates interested in conducting in-home interviews in the Alamosa area to work on the Health and Retirement study. Candidates will be trained on conducting interviews in households with adults and some phone interviewing.

Successful Research Interviewers will:
- conduct in-person and telephone interviews with selected household members
- administer physical measurements and bio markers
- enter data into a laptop computer
- have access to reliable transportation
- be available to work in a variety of areas including the inner city

The university is interested in English speaking and Bi-lingual applicants.

Spanish/English bilingual candidates receive an additional $1.00/hr. Pay rate for the Alamosa area is $9.50/hr. and Interviewers are compensated for mileage and expenses.
