It is Almost Time to give Thanks
Thanksgiving is upon us, for many there is much to be thankful for, by the
same token, there are too many feeling the repercussions of the bad economy we
presently are experiencing.
For many, loss of employment has not been the picture. They all think, I am
employable, if I lose my job I will just get another. Well, some times we learn
about reality and it can be painful. How can the feeling of hope from last week
be almost forgotten by the economic problems we all are facing now? More on the
subject next week, now I wish to share with you a touch of reality.
This Saturday, the 22nd there is a special dynamic happening at New Life
Church. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. they will host over 1,000 people already
registered to attend this event aimed at helping Colorado families learn more
about adoption.
There are close to 800 children in the foster care system waiting to be adopted
into loving homes. At the “Wait No more “event, interested families can meet
with representatives from state and county child welfare agencies, church
adoption support groups, adoption agents and more.
It doesn’t matter where you attend services on Sunday. There are too many
kids that need parenting, and yes here is that word again HOPE. This is one of
those bits of information that needs to be shared with anyone you deem necessary
