I am Troy Sammons, running for Colorado State Representative from District 47. I served four years in the Air Force as a Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Technician and Logistician. I hold degrees in Electronics, Sports Medicine, and have been an Acupuncturist for 10 years in Pueblo.

I support a strong education program with school choices available. For training after high school, I would continue funding the College Opportunity Fund for tuition assistance.

It is important to have additional education opportunities, such as mobile training centers for trade and technical skills, which bring class rooms into local neighborhoods.

I would like to see a Foreign-Trade Zone in Pueblo and Fremont Counties that allow duty-free treatment to businesses, which bring jobs into the local area. A prosperous economy would allow growing families to stay together in this area.
