Nuestra Biblioteca celebrates second year with cultural celebrationThe Pueblo City-County Library District is pleased and excited to invite the public to the first anniversary of Nuestra Biblioteca Hispanic Resource Center at the Rawlings Public Library, 100 E. Abriendo Ave., on Sunday, Sept. 14 from 11 am. To 4:30 p.m. This special celebration of Hispanic culture will begin with the Sweet Dreams Car Show at 11 a.m. and continue with performances by Grupo Folklorico del Pueblo, Mariachi ArcoIris, storytelling, poetry reading, book signing, an art exhibit, and much more for the whole family. Free movies will be shown on the 4th floor beginning at 2 p.m. Kids will enjoy watching Cars (G) in the InfoZone Theatre and adults can see Zoot Suit (R) in the Ryals Room. CSU-Pueblo will have a booth featuring the Automotive Industry Management Booster Club and the Mexican American Engineers and Scientists club will have their robots and scholarship information available. There will also be a booth for obtaining a library card. The anniversary celebration will be marked at 4 p.m. with brief remarks from community partners.
