No High School Classes For One Day In May
To comply with Colorado Department of Education (CDE) professional
development requirements, city high schools will not hold classes for one day in
May. The district received $100,000 to improve teaching at the secondary levels.
Centennial and East high schools
May 1, 2008
Central, South and Keating high schools
May 2, 2008
The CDE awarded the district the funds to provide professional development
for advanced training for secondary math teachers and Kagan Cooperative Learning
Strategies for high school staff. Students will not be required to make up these
days.
