Costco Opens in Colorado Springs East

Costco opened a membership warehouse in Colorado Springs East on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 8 a.m. The 158,000-square-foot warehouse is located at 5885 Barnes Road, at the southeast corner of Powers Road and Barnes Road.

Previously, residents of the area had to drive approximately 60 miles north to Denver to shop at Costco.

“Costco Wholesale is very excited – as is the whole community – to be finally opening in the Colorado Springs area. We have been established in the Denver market for a long time now,” said Warehouse Manager John Wynns. “We are looking forward to becoming a big part of this growing community.”

In the Costco tradition, the Colorado Springs East warehouse will offer quality, name-brand and private-label merchandise at incredible values. Costco helps businesses save money on supplies and on items for resale, and provides a wide range of products and services for personal use as well.

This new Costco location will feature a variety of convenient specialty departments, including a Gas Station, Fresh Bakery, Fresh Meat, Fresh Produce, Service Deli, Rotisserie Chicken, Optical Department with Independent Doctor of Optometry, 1-Hour Photo, Pharmacy, Tire Center, Hearing Aid Center and Food Court. Members also can save on such Services as Travel and Auto Buying.

The ninth Costco warehouse in Colorado will be the 390th in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, and 532nd worldwide. Costco has 52 million cardholders throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, England, Scotland, South Korea, Taiwan and Japan.
