2008 El Paso County Fair Queen Contest
WHO: Young women between 18 and 22 years old
WHAT: 2008 El Paso County Fair Queen Contest
WHEN: March 15, 2008 starting at 9:00 a.m.

WHY: The El Paso County Fair Queen Committee is seeking qualified
candidates to serve as the El Paso County Fair Queen for the 2008 year. Eligible
contestants must be single and never married females, between the ages of 18 and
22. Contestants must be El Paso County residents and able to work with the El
Paso County staff and committee members to represent the El Paso County Fair.
A Queen clinic will be offered for all potential Queen Applicants on Saturday,
February 9 at 10:00 am. The clinic is FREE and will provide valuable information
and tips in all areas of the Queen contest. Please be advised that a horse is
required for this clinic. All applicants are strongly encouraged to attend. To
reserve your space please call 520-7880.
Application packets are now available at the El Paso County Fairgrounds Office
located at 366 10th Street, Calhan, CO 80808 between 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday
through Thursday, on line

During her reign, the El Paso County Fair Queen will be a visible representative
for the county, not only at the Fair, but also at other county events.
Application Deadline Date: February 28, 2008 by 3:00 pm to the Fair Office.
Queen Contest Held: March 15, 2008 starting at 9:00 am at the Fairgrounds.
Queen chosen based on Judges’ points in four areas:
1. Horsemanship
2. Application
3. Public Speaking
4. Personal Interview
