September Networking Groups And Workshops From The Pikes Peak Workforce
Center
Tools to Help Job Seekers Find a Job or Find a Better Job!
The Pikes Peak Workforce Center will offer the following networking groups and
workshops. There is no charge to attend these networking groups or workshops;
however, registration is required for most. Register at
www.ppwfc.org, click on the
job seeker icon and then on workshops. All networking groups and workshops are
held at the main office, 2306 East Pikes Peak Avenue, Colorado Springs.
Note: Several workshops and networking groups have changed days of the week and
times.
Networking Groups: Job trends, shared leads, job search support! No
pre-registration necessary. Executive Group: Mondays, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Professional Group: Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m. to noon 50+ Job Seekers: Thursdays,
11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Veterans: 1st, 2nd, 4th Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Job Shop: Guided Job Search, September 4 (Tuesday) or September 19
(Wednesday), 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Register online at
www.ppwfc.org.
A comprehensive, full-day program of intensive, job search guidance and
organization including: resume & portfolio development, job application, ads,
networking, interviewing, and negotiation. Whether laid off or terminated,
account executive or welder, this is for focused job seekers who take their next
job seriously!
Résumé ‘Righting!’ – Résumé and Portfolio Design
Thursdays: September 6, 13, 20 or 27, 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. No registration
necessary, but please arrive by 9:00 a.m.
Is your resume a report or an advertisement? Over or under-qualified? This
session provides resume and portfolio guidance.
Self Employment: The Driver’s Seat
Tuesday: September 11 or 25, 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Register online at
