Life Skills Center of Colorado Springs
For some young adults, getting a high school diploma isn’t easy. Nor is it
easy to tell them that they can’t get a diploma, go to college or begin a
successful career. Does the traditional high school just not work for you; the
seven hours a day, the hallways, the 5 or 6 different subjects at the same time?
That’s where Life Skills comes in with a different approach.
The Life Skills Center of Colorado Springs is an alternative charter high school
for young adults ages 16 to 21. Students enrolled in Life Skills Centers have
something others don’t: choices. Our students choose when they can attend
classes: morning, midday or afternoon. This way, they can tend to their work or
family obligations while still earning their diploma. Our students come from all
cultural, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. And we are proud to help them
reach their goals.
Life Skills Center students learn in an environment that is completely tailored
to each individual’s needs. We understand that one student doesn’t learn in the
exact same way as the next, and that sometimes, a little extra help goes a long
way. We understand that not every student will take the same path to success.
But we also understand that every student can succeed; more than 6,200 graduates
are witnesses to that fact in Life Skills Centers nationwide.
So if it’s a certain career that a student wants to pursue, we have vocational
specialists to help them find their way. If a student dreams of attending
college, we can help with that, too. If a student has hardships that create
barriers to their success, we have family advocates who can help eliminate those
barriers. We’re here to help in any way we can.
Call us today at (719) 471-0684, or visit us at 1810 Eastlake Blvd. We look
forward to helping you reach your goals of obtaining your high school diploma,
and creating a plan for life after high school.
