School District 11 Announces Summer SchoolThe 2007 School District 11 Summer Literacy Program is an intervention
program designed for students in kindergarten through eighth grade who are below
grade level. The program will take place at selected D-11 schools June 4-June
29, 2007. Student attendance for all 20 days of the program is expected.
Elementary school and middle school students will attend their neighborhood
schools or be bused to and from feeder schools to summer school host sites. Students now in grades K-4 will attend their neighborhood elementary school or will be bused to and from a host school. If a student now attends one of the elementary schools listed below, the cost for summer school registration is $60: Chipeta, Howbert, Jackson, Trailblazer, Henry, Madison, Keller, Fremont, King, Martinez, Scott, Penrose, Audubon, Grant, Rudy, Carver, Taylor, Bates, Columbia, Steele, Stratton. If a student is now attending one of the elementary schools listed below, the
cost of summer school registration is $5: Adams, Hunt, Monroe, Queen Palmer,
Rogers, Edison, Jefferson, Lincoln, Midland, Buena Vista, Ivywild, Twain,
Longfellow, Wilson, Whittier, Bristol, Pike, Washington. Students now in grades 5-8 will attend their neighborhood middle school or be bused to and from a host school. Students attending the following middle schools will pay $60 for summer school registration: Jenkins, Irving, North, Mann, Russell, Sabin, West, Holmes. A student currently attending East Middle School will pay $5 for summer
school registration.
