A wind of Excellence
There's a new wind of excellence blowing into Pueblo.
The Hyde Park Neighborhood Association on Pueblo's West side has survived the
recent loss of their charismatic leader Mrs. Ersilia Cruz, and is now moving
forward to establish itself as a leader in community service and a champion for
education.
"The first program we started was the Kidz Zone, our after school program,"
stated Alex Aragón, the new Director. "The Kidz Zone is the first step toward
creating community with an atmosphere of excellence, communication and
volunteerism" – said Steve Cruz, the Board president.
The Kidz Zone offers an after school snack, helps with homework and offers a
small library. Their computer lab boasts 18 units with Internet access for
research projects. The hours are 3-6pm. Monday through Friday at 2135 W. 16th
St. Pueblo , Colorado. (719) 546-0259. Cost---FREE!!
Also offered are senior health and exercise programs.
