Democratic Party Latino Initiative
There will be meeting to establish an El Paso County Democratic Party Latino
Initiative. At this first meeting we will elect five board members, adopt
bylaws, and set the Initiative’s agenda.
At El Paso Count Democratic Headquarters, 25 N Iowa, Saturday January 27th
2007 2:00pm
The purpose of the this initiative is to enhance Latino influence in the
Democratic Party at all levels by electing Latinos to party positions, to
provide training and information to increase Latino participation in the
political process, to encourage and register Latinos to vote, to identify and
encourage Latinos to seek public office and/or to serve on boards and
commissions, to provide information specifically on issues that affect the
Latino community, and to provide a forum to increase visibility of Latino
candidates.
