Mike Shanahan, Jolly Demis, John Elway
JOLLY DEMIS - MASTER OF CEREMONIES

Jolly Demis is already on his way towards entertaining even the most discerning critic. Opening for such heavyweights as “3 Dog Night,” “Lee Greenwood,” as well as headlining shows nationally, Demis’ musical and comedy versatility and showmanship make him the consummate entertainer. It is no wonder that reviewers and audiences alike love the show.

“Demis in Las Vegas offers a great combination of music and comedy.” (Forrest Duke, Las Vegas Review Journal).

“Jolly Demis sounds like the name of a clown or maybe even a candy bar. But there’s nothing clownish or too sweet about Demis, a man of considerable talent when he uses his voice, guitar and comedy repartee with the audience.” (Walter Sanders, Rocky Mountain News).

Tobias Rene
TOBIAS RENE
is a native New Mexican who records and performs traditional Spanish music. Tobias Rene has earned the title “King of New Mexico Music” from his adoring fans due to the astonishing hits from his first CD, “Por Primera Vez” and his second CD, “Con Ganas,”. Tobias can be compared to the likes of Tejano music legends Little Joe, Ruben Ramos, and Sunny Ozuna. Closer to home, he shares headliner status with groups such as Sparx and Al Hurricane. Some of the awards he has received include Male Vocalist of the Year, Band of the Year, CD of the Year, Song of the Year, and many more. In addition to music, Tobias also lit up the big screen having landed a co-starring role in the major motion picture “East meets West.” Tobias was invited by the National Hispano Chamber of Commerce to fly to Hollywood, California to join the starring actor of “Price of Glory,” Jimmy Smits, for its premier. During his stay in Hollywood, Tobias rallied with fellow actors Esai Morales (La Bamba), comedian and actor Paul Rodriguez (Born in East LA., A Million to Juan), and Jon Seda (Selena) for the promotion of Latino films in the movie industry.

MARIACHI MESTIZO - Jalisco is the birth place of "Mariachi" which is traditional street music and has become the national symbol of Mexico. It is a unique musical style that bridges traditional "folk" music and commercial popular music. Mariachi Mestizo will sure deliver as they kick off this wonderful night with a mixture of vibrant, lively, romantic music with superb Mexican riding costumes.

MATA ORTIZ POTTERY - Along the Palanganas River near the ancient ruins of Paquime, a local vaquero and self taught potter named Juan Quezada founded a native art movement inspired by traditions that died out around the time of the Spanish conquest. Surrounded by a sea of pottery fragments from the ancient ones, this man began to experiment with he same raw materials available to his predecessors. With no input from the outside world, by trial and error alone, he taught himself and eventually mastered the ancient craft. Then he taught his own extended family members and any neighbor that cared to learn. He discovered how to pinch and coil clay to near perfect symmetry, how to burnish it with hard stones to a high polish, how to craft the finest brushes from human hair, and how to make and then to fire the clays in the open air. Formed and painted entirely by hand and using only local materials and without the benefit of a potter’s wheel or kiln their works rose to artistic heights rarely seen before. This spectacular achievement accomplished only since the 1970´s has been widely publicized and featured in exhibitions and museums around the world. It has set new standards of quality for hand-built pottery. Today nearly 300 Mata Ortiz potters are producing these fine ollas. Some are creating one of a kind pieces that can only be called "works of art". From these humble origins emerge new possibilities for contemporary design that are inspired by roots that reach back a thousand years. This new art is not a copying of the old but a creative departure with its own integrity.

TERRI SANCHEZ FINE ART - A native of Colorado Springs, Terri works exclusively in oils, enjoying the richness of color and texture oil paints have to offer. Her approach to painting is truly expressionistic yet traditional in style. Terri specializes in impressionistic Colorado landscapes and dramatic still life paintings. Ms. Sanchez also enjoys painting outdoors which provides her with a world of knowledge and has proven to be an invaluable learning tool. She believes nature is the perfect teacher. Every year, Terri participates in “Victor Celebrates the Arts” in old historic Victor, Colorado and has received numerous awards for her Plein Air landscapes.
