Su Voto es Su Voz (Maybe)
This perhaps is the last time I speak of the elections, well maybe not,
school districts in Colorado Springs and Pueblo will be on our radar soon. We
shall discuss the school districts at another time.
There are some interesting anecdotes I wish to share with you. First, lets
get one thing straight, Hispania News notified every candidate of our special
edition and each were given the opportunity to submit a short piece on Why
the Hispanic Community Should Vote for Me. In this edition are those that
responded, their appearance or not, does not signify support or non-support by
this newspaper. I think their actions speak for themselves.
Why do some advertising agencies tell their candidates that to spend mostly
on Radio & TV, to reach the Hispanic audience, rather than sending a message to
people that can read, and who are more likely to vote. Oh yes, I must include
this, this newspaper is not going to say, Vote for la Mota, ni modo.
As much as some people complain during this time, just remember, in some
places they don’t get much of a chance to discuss whom they will vote for. Let
us not forget why there are so many people we miss, and all we have is a folded
US flag.
