Dolores Huerta Preparatory High School to host groundbreaking ceremony

Dolores Huerta Preparatory High School (DHPH), a comprehensive Early College High School, will host its Groundbreaking Ceremony and community-wide celebration on Nov 10, at 11:30 am at 2500 W 18th St, in the lot across from Cesar Chavez Academy, 2500 W 18th.

The successful charter school will begin building Phase I of the 52,000 square foot state-of-the-art high school and athletic complex. The school will open the fall of 2007. Highlights of the school are an open campus, flexible school schedule, and a full range of sports and extra-curricular programs.

DHPH is a tuition-free public charter school, and has an early college partnership with Pueblo Community College that allows students to earn both a college degree and high school diploma, at no cost to the student or family. Successful graduates are guaranteed admission to any public university or college in Colorado.

The mission of DHPH is to prepare a diverse cross section of Pueblo’s children for success as young scholars, citizens of the world, and community leaders by providing them with an ambitious academic program in a supportive and challenging learning environment.

If you are interested in giving opportunities for this project, please contact the Development Office at (719) 295-1623.
