2007 Mitsubishi Galant At-A-Glance

The new Mitsubishi Galant Ralliart spearheads the restyled and enhanced Galant mid-size sedan line for 2007. Galant Ralliart is a complete performance package, designed to challenge leading sport sedans, but with better value. Galant Ralliart is exclusively powered by a 258-hp 3.8-liter MIVEC V-6 engine and equipped with a five-speed automatic transmission with Sportronic(TM) to allow manual gearshift control. The MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve Timing Electronic Control) system helps optimize engine efficiency and power across a broad engine speed range. The Galant Ralliart can accelerate from zero-to-60 mph in about seven seconds. Ralliart-tuned sport suspension and 18-inch alloy wheels yield sharp handling response, and this special model is distinguished by exclusive exterior styling and interior features.

Galant Ralliart treats occupants with perforated leather-trimmed seating surfaces, heated front seats, automatic climate control system, power glass sunroof and Homelink(TM) transmitter with auto dimming rear view mirror. Its standard Rockford Acoustic Design(TM) premium audio system includes SIRIUS(TM) Satellite Radio with a six-month free subscription.

Galant offers three other trim levels for 2007: the DE and ES models are powered by a MIVEC-enhanced 160-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine teamed to a four-speed automatic transmission with Sportronic. The GTS steps up to a 230-hp 3.8-liter V-6 with the five-speed Sportronic transmission. All Galant models get a sophisticated new look for 2007 with redesigned front and rear bumper fascias and a new grille with chrome surround. The Ralliart is further distinguished by a unique front aero bumper, sport mesh grille projector-style ellipsoid headlamps, two-tone bumpers and color-keyed side air dams. Galant's interior design and materials have been enhanced, and ride and handling refined to provide greater comfort and a more engaging driving experience.

The Galant Ralliart model also offer a new DVD navigation system with a seven-inch touch screen. The Rockford Acoustic Design premium audio system with SIRIUS Satellite Radio package is also available for the ES and GTS. New for 2007, customers can infuse the Galant ES with some of the style and comfort of the V-6 Galant models by ordering the optional Sport Package and Premium Package.

All Galant models for 2007 add standard side curtain air bags to the comprehensive safety package, which also includes advanced front air bags with occupant sensors and front seat-mounted side-impact air bags. The Galant achieved across-the-board 5-star ratings in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) offset frontal and side impact crash tests. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) awarded Galant its highest ranking - "Good" overall - in its frontal offset and side impact crash tests.
