9-11 & Mexican Independence Day

Many in Mexico and other Latin counties will celebrate Independence Day this weekend in those countries, as well as celebrations in the US.

It is Ironic that they come so close to a date now etched in all Americans’ mind.

Soon after that date, people were clamoring, and still are, to build a wall, deploy the National Guard, the “minutemen” resurfaced, convinced the U.S. was under attack from the South.

9-11 had nothing to do with México or any country south of El Paso. Still the rhetoric is being heard.

But the rhetoric is changing, well maybe they are not coming to bomb us, but they are using our schools, they don’t speak English.

When Secretary of Commerce Gutierrez was here in Colorado Springs, he was told that workers are needed, we need an immigration plan, plus we don’t read on the front pages, the tale of farmers losing their crops, because there is no one to harvest them, here in Colorado.

Me thinks our elected leaders need to look hard at reality, and so do the new arrivals, both sides need to read the definition of adaptability. You are a piece of the montage, not a cover to put over it.

Lets do like the soldiers that have died in Iraq, what nationality where they?

There in lies the truth.
