Colorado Christian University Early Childhood Education
Colorado Christian University launched its Early Childhood Education programs
in Pueblo a few years ago when the federal government began requiring a
bachelor’s degree for Head Start teachers. CCU’s mission is to prepare preschool
through 3rd grade educators for the awesome responsibility of teaching young
children in Pueblo and the surrounding communities. The format caters to the
working adult student, with classes held on weekday evenings.
At CCU, preschool teachers, daycare center workers, public school
paraprofessionals, and Head Start staff members can earn an Associate or
Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education, or a BA Early Childhood Theory
(which requires no student teaching). CCU’s programs are also designed for
community college transfer students seeking a four-year degree in Early
Childhood Education.
