The Boricuas are going Crazy

Ever since Sunday, you may have noticed your Puerto Rican friends are just a little huffy, all too proud, standing taller than usual, as you see by our front page, a young lady from “Las Islas De Encanto” was named Miss Universe. Great for all of us.

The photo of the President and three Latino soldiers also on the front page; well as they say, there is more to the story. Santo-Dilone, originally from the Dominican Republic, Lopez and Cardenas, natives of México, paid a price for their citizenship.

All were seriously wounded-two lost limbs- by homemade bombs in Iraq. Mr. Bush said he had met one of them, Sp4 Santos-Dilone, at the National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast earlier this year. It was reported by the President that “He grabbed my hand, and he said, “I’m not a citizen of the United States, and I want to be, “ the president recalled, adding, “Now here’s a man who know how to take it directly to the top. How many non-citizens are serving in the Military?”

At last reports, some where in the neighborhood of 33,000.

President George W. Bush shakes hands with newly sworn-in American citizens, Specialist Sergio Lopez, 24, of Bolingbrook, Ill., left, Specialist Noe Santos-Dilone of Brooklyn, N.Y., center, and Private First Class Eduardo Leal-Cardenas of Los Angeles, Calif., during their naturalization ceremony Monday, July 24, 2006, at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Speaking of numbers, some people are reporting that there are over 30,000 illegal
Immigrants in Colorado Springs…. have you seen them, where are they?
