Little Britches Rodeo’s mission: Operation GratitudeAll military personnel, and their families, who present valid military identification at the ticket gate during the 2006 National Little Britches Finals Rodeo will be admitted FREE of charge to any rodeo performance. “It’s our way to honor those who serve in the armed forces and for the families who support them. I know it’s not much, but a night out with the family and comrades to enjoy the great sport of rodeo is the least we can do for those who keep our freedoms alive,” said NLBRA Executive Director, Kimber Solberg. “We appreciate the sacrifices they have made, especially during wartime, and although it’s just a small token it’s what we wanted to do to thank our troops and their families.” The National Little Britches Rodeo Association will hold its National Finals Rodeo at Colorado State Fairgrounds in Pueblo, CO on July 17 through July 22, where more than 700 kids, ages 5-18, will compete for world championships in 27 events. A large bounty including saddles, buckles, and nearly $50,000 in college scholarships is up for grabs. Rodeo performances are held daily July 17-21 at 9 am and 6 pm. On July 22, rodeo action begins at 8 am with the top 15 contestants in 27 events competing in the championship-round competition, which inevitably determines NLBRA world champions. Again this year, the NLBRA Finals Rodeo is an affordable event for the entire family.
