Parkview Center for Rehabilitation awarded Three-Year CARF Accreditation
Parkview Center for Rehabilitation recently was reaccredited from the
Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for a period of
three years for its Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs for adults and children.
This latest accreditation is the fourth consecutive Three-Year Accreditation
outcome that the international accrediting commission has award to Parkview.
This accreditation outcome represents the highest level of accreditation that
can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial
conformance to the standards established by CARF. An organization receiving a
Three-Year Accreditation outcome has put itself through a rigorous peer review
process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that
its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable and
accountable.
According to CARF President/CEO Brian J. Boon, PhD, the CARF site surveyors
“made no recommendations, which signifies that they did not identify any areas
of nonconformance with the standards.” “This is an extraordinary accomplishment,
as only three percent of CARF surveys result in no recommendations,” Boon stated
in a letter announcing Parkview’s achievement.
He explained Parkview’s accreditation outcome is awarded to organizations
that “demonstrate their participants are benefiting from the services and that
apparently their health, welfare, and safety are being protected.”
