Pueblo Parade of Homes 2006

The Pueblo Association of Home Builders (PAHB) is again sponsoring the Parade of Homes event this summer. The public enjoys the opportunity to see these new homes which are decorated, landscaped, and full of great ideas. The PAHB presents this event to showcase the talents and professionalism of its builder/developer members, and to promote the products and services offered by associate members. Sponsors of this year’s Parade are: Built Green Colorado, Countrywide Home Loans, News First 5/30, RE/MAX and San Isabel Electric Association.

Explore 38 homes featuring 33 of Pueblo’s top builders and current members of the PAHB, as well as numerous other businesses who provide the building materials, appliances, plumbing, electrical, decorating, landscaping, financing, title work, utilities, marketing/sales, and other products and services that are associated with the building and selling of new homes. This year’s Parade homes range in price from $163,000 to $858,000. Ten of the Parade homes are participating in the Built Green Colorado Program which means they are designed to be environmentally friendly and energy efficient. Some of the homes are prestigious and grand, while others are casual, cozy, and practical. Whatever the case may be, there is something for everyone at the Parade of Homes.

The 2006 Parade features 17 homes within Pueblo, 16 homes within Pueblo West, 2 homes on the Mesa, 2 homes south of town in St. Charles Estates and Hatchet Ranch and one home located just 30 miles west of Canon City. Parade goers can drive to all the Parade homes at their own leisure in any order.

Comcast and Circuit City are giving away a 50’’ HDTV, valued at $5,000. To become eligible to win, simply go to all the open Parade homes, and obtain a stamp on the back of the ticket. After the ticket is completed, Parade goers will leave their ticket at their last visited Parade home (doesn’t need to be in any particular order). The PAHB will draw the winners and contact the recipient to claim their prize. In addition, the public will have the unique opportunity to choose its favorite Parade home within each price category. The categories are distinguished by colors, which are clearly marked on the back of the ticket as well as in the magazine. The Parade homes with the most votes in each category will be given the “People’s Choice” Award. It is not necessary to attend all open Parade homes in order to vote for this prestigious award.

Tickets are on sale at any of the Pueblo, Pueblo West, Canon City and Florence area Loaf `N Jugs (July 1, 2006). They are $5.00 for adults and children 16 and under receive free admission. The homes are open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm for the three weekends July 8 - 23. Tickets can be used all six days, and will get one person into each home one time. The official Parade of Homes Magazine, which shows the rendering and floor plans for each of the homes, the map of the home locations as well as several useful industry related articles, can be obtained at the participating Loaf `N Jug stores.
