Trails and Open Space Coalition 2006 Hike Schedule
All hikes are free and open to the public.
Saturday April 15 Austin Bluffs Open Space and Pulpit Rock. Join the
Trails and Open Space Coalition and AAUW for a moderate 4-mile hike. Meet at the
University Park entrance off Academy Blvd at 9:00 am. No reservations necessary.

Saturday May 20 Spruce Mountain. Join the Trails and Open Space
Coalition and AAUW for a moderate 4.5-mile hike in Douglas County’s newest open
space. Spectacular bluffs! No spruce! Hike begins at 9:30 am. No reservations

Saturday June 3 Mt. Rosa, 11,499’. Join the Trails and Open Space
Coalition as we explore the mountain that Zebulon Pike climbed in 1806.
Historical perspective included. Difficult, 6-mile hike. Free. Space limited,

Saturday June 17 Bear Creek to Buckhorn Trails. Join the Trails and
Open Space Coalition and AAUW for a moderate 5-mile hike in Bear Creek Canyon.
Meet at the parking lot above Helen Hunt Falls at High Drive at 8:00 am. Car
