El Paso County Department of Health and Environment
“Planning for a Possible Flu Pandemic – and Other Emergencies” is the topic
of the El Paso County Department of Health and Environment’s fourth Annual
Meeting, 4:30-6:30 pm, Mon, Apr 3 at Regional Building Center, 2880
International Circle. The public is invited to attend this free educational
briefing. Being prepared for emergencies will help reduce the negative impacts
that individuals, families and our community experience. Being prepared also
will speed recovery from a disaster.
Available materials include specific instructions on how to prepare for many
emergencies, such as blizzards, floods and forest fires; checklists to help
residents set up “emergency kits” for home and vehicles; and directions on how
to prepare individuals, families and our community for any possible flu
