Pueblo Latino Chamber 27th Annual dinner dance
The Latino Chamber of Commerce presents the 27th Annual Dinner Dance! The
event will take place on Sat, Feb 25th at the Pueblo Convention Center. Tickets
are $75 for members and $85 for non-members. Corporate tables of 8 and 10 are
available. Please make your reservation by Mon, Feb 20th to the Latino Chamber
by calling 719-542-5513. All reservations must be pre-paid.
6 pm – “Budweiser” Cocktail Hour
7 pm – Dinner & Awards Presentation
8 pm – Keynote Speaker
9 pm – Dance
Guest Speaker for the evening will be Alfonso Gomez from the reality show The
Contender. Alfonso's family moved from Mexico to the United States when he was
10 years old, and he's been boxing ever since. Alfonso graduated high school
with an 80-10 amateur record and decided to go Pro. He also wanted to get a BA
degree, which meant a move from San Francisco to Los Angeles. The 17-year old
was going to move out alone, but his parents wouldn't let that happen. They sold
their business and home and moved their three sons to Tustin, California. The
entire family has made huge sacrifices to ensure their Alfonso has everything he
needs to become a champion. Alfonso wants to give all that they've given back to
them. He has a genuine passion about his Hispanic heritage and would truly
inspire the 900 to 1,000 business owners, elected officials, and community
leaders in Southern Colorado that will be in attendance.
Alfonso Gomez (14-3-1) will fight Gilbert Venegas (9-1-2) on ESPN2, Sunday,
February 12th, live at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, RI. The fight
will begin at 9:30 pm ET.
