YMCA's 2nd Annual Father-Daughter Valentine's Day Dance
Daughters in the Colorado Springs area will be honored once again at the 2nd
Annual "Twinkle in our Father's Eyes" Father-Daughter Valentine's Day Dance on
Sat, Feb 11th at the Downtown YMCA. Young ladies of all ages will experience a
special night filled with musical entertainment, an appetizing dinner, presents,
surprises, and tender moments that can only be shared between a father and
daughter.
The event starts at 7 pm and will be three hours of delightful fun for
fathers and daughters from age 5 and up. Tickets are on sale at the Downtown
YMCA or available via phone by calling (719) 473-9622. Prices are $30 for the
fathers and $15 for the first daughter. Each additional daughter is $10. Five
dollar discounts ($5) on adult and children's tickets are available for YMCA
members and military personnel. The proceeds will go to the YMCA Partners
Campaign and to the Dynamic Athletics International (DAII) Scholarship Fund for
a local high school female athlete.
The YMCA Partners Campaign supports area youth and families by providing them
opportunities to participate in Y activities they would otherwise not be able to
afford. "Through our Partners Campaign we positively impact many kids and
families by funding their memberships in our various programs," explains YMCA
Promotions Manager Heather Neilan. "This Father-Daughter Valentine's Day Dance
will supplement the donations we receive to keep the program running."
Area merchants, Red Noland Saab Infiniti, Michelle's Chocolatiers, Zerbe
Jewelers, and Blossom's Floral Co. to name a few, are actively supporting the
"Twinkle in our Father's Eyes" Dance with gift certificates and other donations.
An impressive spread of delicious cuisine and music from top area DJs will keep
the evening exciting for all ages. Horse & buggy rides, roses, chocolates,
photographs and other special treasures. The traditional Valentine's Day
treats will be in abundance.
