John Anderson to run for Fifth Congressional District

John Wesley Anderson, former El Paso County Sheriff, has formally announced that he is seeking the Republican Party nomination as a candidate for Colorado's Fifth Congressional District seat in the US House of Representatives. The district is comprised of El Paso, Fremont, Teller, Chaffee, Lake, and Park Counties. The announcement took place at the Law Office of Radabaugh, Barker and Callison, which also houses the campaign’s HQ, located at 222 East Costilla Street in Colorado Springs.

Anderson served as the El Paso County Sheriff for two terms, from Jan 1995 - Jan 2003. Prior to his election as sheriff, he served his community as a member of the Colorado Springs Police Department, retiring after twenty-two years of service. He presently is employed by Lockheed-Martin as a Homeland Defense and Homeland Security Subject Matter Expert, where he is able to combine his unique insight into local law enforcement with our country's national defense and security interests.
