Help military families this holiday season

The Military Family Relief Fund was established last year through bipartisan legislation carried by State Representative Morgan Carroll, D-Aurora, and State Senator Ed Jones, R-Colorado Springs. The fund helps families who are experiencing financial hardship as a result of active military deployment.

"The difficulties due to deployment can be devastating. This is one of the most concrete actions we can take to put our money where our mouth is and support our troops and their families,” said Rep. Carroll.

For those who want to know how to contribute:

(1) On your 2005 income tax return donation check-off; or
(2) Make checks payable to:
      Military Family Relief Fund
Department of Military & Veterans Affairs
      6848 South Revere Parkway
      State Accounting Office
      Suite 2-252
      Centennial, CO 80112

Donations can be made from individuals or corporations in any amount. They are tax deductible.

Direct additional questions to Carol Mentone, Department of Military & Veteran Affairs, 720.250.1530 or contact Rep. Carroll at 303.726.1742.
