YWCA of Pueblo receives grant to support family crisis shelter

The YWCA of Pueblo is proud to announce they have received a $10,000 Daniels Fund grant to support the Family Crisis Shelter.

Through their premier programs, the YWCA of Pueblo provides the southeastern Colorado community with four distinct areas of service, safe shelter and emergency housing, counseling for both children and adults who are victims of domestic violence, childcare and water fitness. The YWCA’s programs work together to help heal and restore women and their families’ lives by focusing on health, self-sufficiency and independence.

“This grant will enable our Family Crisis Shelter to continue serving members of community who seek safe shelter and are in need of our services to begin rebuilding their lives and the lives of their children,” said Brandi Moore, YWCA Executive Director.

The Daniels Fund operates the Daniels College Prep and Scholarship Program and the Daniels Fund Grants Program in CO, NM, WY and UT. The Fund was established in 1997 by Bill Daniels, a pioneer in cable television known for his kindness and generosity to those in need.

Through the strength that comes from diversity, the YWCA of Pueblo strives to educate, empower, and network with all women in Pueblo and southern Colorado.
