Barclays Kicks Off Colorado Springs Recruiting Efforts With Local Job Fair
New operations center to open in January will create 450
new positions
On Tuesday, November 15, Barclays PLC (Barclays) will hold its first job fair to
recruit employees for the company’s recently announced Colorado Springs
operations center. Doors at the Hotel ballroom, located at 5580 Tech Center
Drive in Colorado Springs, will open at 10:00 a.m. Barclays recruiters will be
on hand to conduct interviews and answer questions until 7:00 p.m. The company
hopes the job fair will help them to find qualified candidates for open
positions in the areas of customer care, collections, credit and fraud
operations, human resources and technology.
Barclays, a major global financial services provider, announced its plans to
open the Colorado operations center by January 2006 during a press conference
earlier this fall. The company expects to bring 450 staff on board at their new
69,000 square foot Mark Dabling Boulevard facility in 2006.

publicizing these two channels in September, company representatives say that
they have received more than 800 resumes for open positions.

business community,” said Jim Stewart, president of Barclays US credit card
operation. “We are excited to have the opportunity to meet our prospective
employees in person at the November job fair and start building our new staff of
talented and enthusiastic team members.”
