C & D Que?

By now, you have heard both sides of this issue. Both sides are working very diligently to persuade you, the voter, to move onto their side. Opponents to C & D give you examples of why it will not work. They give you scenarios that happen in a perfect world. Problem is, we do not live in a perfect world. It is imperfect to say the least. Why we recommend C & D is very basic.

When you look at who gets hurt the most, it is minorities. With a high dropout rate among Hispanics, why would we condone the effort to hurt our schools. As the Hispanic population grows, Hispanics must be prepared to take on more leadership roles in our community, state and nation. The value of higher education overall is so important in this era.

We cannot compete globally without higher Ed. Higher Ed cannot be looked at as a luxury within the Hispanic community, it is a must, make it the 11th commandment if you will…

When you examine the coalition of groups backing C & D and just people in general that are for it, plus the fact that you have Republicans and Democrats working together, it is amazing. When can you remember this type of coalition in this state before?

One thing this state needs to realize is that too many people in Colorado are living on the border of poverty. Don’t believe me, spend an hour at the mall, and then spend an hour at one of the many thriving thrift stores in this city…Some would like to tell you it is mostly African American and Hispanic that shop there…wrong…. Perhaps you need to look again. Hurting education is not the solution.

C & D - we must all vote YES!
