Fountain Creek Nature Center offers
"Pumpkin Carving Party, Contest & Jack-O-Lantern Trail."
What: "Jack-O-Lantern Trail"
Are you are looking for a safe and educational Halloween activity, suitable
for children with their parents, grandparents or other adults? Come to
Fountain Creek Nature Center and participate in the 7th annual
Jack-O-Lantern Trail. The _ mile trail will be lit with 200 uniquely carved
jack-o-lanterns ranging from patriotic stars and stripes to wild animals to
traditional faces. You will meet several friendly animal characters along
the way, watch an "Animals of the Night" show in the nature center, and
receive a candy treat.
When: Saturday & Sunday, October 29 & 30, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Where: Fountain Creek Nature Center, 320 Pepper Grass Lane, Fountain, CO,
80817
Cost: $10.00 per vehicle to encourage carpooling.
In Addition: The public is also invited to visit the Nature Center,
between
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, for the pumpkin carving party
and contest. Pumpkins, jack-o-lantern patterns and carving tools will be
provided. Awards will be given for best jack-o-lanterns. Pumpkins carved at
home and contributed to the trail event are eligible. For more information,
