2005 Colorado Springs Veterans’ Day Parade

This year’s Veterans’ Day Parade will be held in downtown Colorado Springs on Saturday, November 5, 2005 at 9:30 a.m. The theme will be “WWII: Tribute to a Generation” in recognition of the war’s end 60 years ago.

This year’s parade will feature veterans from World War II, Korea, Vietnam and Desert Storm, as well as our newest combat veterans, troops recently serving in Iraq. Organizers hope to also have 10 high school marching bands in addition to the world-class Air Force Academy Band (formerly known as the Band of the Rockies).

Registration for the parade runs through October 14. Registration forms for groups are available online or by calling the parade office. Registration forms for individuals (veterans not part of an organized veterans’ group) are available by calling the parade office.

The Colorado Springs Veterans’ Day Parade, Inc., a small nonprofit organization, hosts this annual patriotic event. It is entirely funded through corporate sponsorships, donations from local businesses and individual contributions.

For more information, contact Diana Ceciliani, the parade’s Executive Director, at (719) 282-3862 or visit the parade web site at www.csvetsparade.org.
