PPRTA Weekly Update

A public open house will be held on Tues., Oct. 4, to unveil the plans for the Austin Bluffs Interchange at Union. The event will run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Colorado Springs Christian School at 4855 Mallow Drive. Take a look below to see other areas where RTA work is scheduled for this week:

Capital Projects

• A public open house will be held on Oct. 4 from 5:30-7 p.m. at Colorado Springs Christian Schools for the Austin Bluffs/Union Interchange. The public will have the opportunity to view a video simulation of what the interchange, which bridges Austin Bluffs over Union, will look like. They’ll also receive information on the construction schedule.
Bridges
• The first group of bridges packaged together for RTA contractor work includes 15 bridges west of I-25, which are being worked on by TLM Constructors. Work is being done in phases, so crews will be rotating among the list of bridges from now until the end of the year:
o Arvada St. at Cheyenne Creek
o Navajo St. at Cheyenne Creek
o West Cheyenne Rd. at Cheyenne Creek
o Cresta Rd. at Cheyenne Creek
o 21st St. at Fountain Creek
o Centennial Blvd. at South Douglas Creek
o Garden of the Gods Rd. at North Douglas Creek
o Crested Butte Cir. at Douglas Creek
o Woodmen Rd. at Monument Creek
o Mark Dabling Blvd. at Monument Creek
o Woodmen Rd. at railroad crossing
o Cheyenne Canyon Rd. at North Cheyenne Creek (4 different bridges)

Concrete Work (Sidewalks, Curb & Gutter, and Pedestrian Ramps)
• Crews will continue to work at Flying W Ranch Rd. and 30th St., and at Centennial Blvd. and Holli Spgs. in the northwest. In the southeast, crews will be working on Royal Oak Dr., Thames Dr., Broadmoor Bluffs, Wembley Ct. and Brandywine Dr.Potholes
Reported potholes will be repaired within 48 to 72 hours. To report a pothole, call the pothole hotline at 385-6808.
