Kennedy Center Imagination Celebration
Imagination Celebration Presents: Just 4 Us
Imagination Celebration invites all children ages 2 1/2-5 years old to grab
their parent and come on down to our new “Just 4 Us” classes. Classes will kick
off on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at 10:00 am and will meet at our
creativity space-Celebration Place-(located upper level, Mervyn’s wing) at The
Citadel.
Join Birgitta DePree, performer and educator, each Tuesday for 3 weeks
starting on September 13 and continuing on September 20 and 27. Birgitta will
present Color, Shape and Movement: a Drama Playtime. You and your parent will
giggle with excitement as you become a shadow puppet, create movement pieces
with colorful scarves and fabrics, tell stories and play games.
But wait, don’t stop there! Make your reservations now for our Just 4 Us
classes Oct 4, 11, and 18 with author, illustrator and just plain fun person,
Jillian Lund. She will lead you in story time and follow that with creative
hands-on art activities. On November 1, 8, and 15, singer, songwriter, Beth
Epley, will join us for silly songs, movement and an all round good time with
her “Hardi-Har-Harvest” series. And finally, during the weeks of December 6, 13,
and 20 find out what science and art have in common! Mad Science will present
the Science of Art, Music and Dinosaurs.
Classes are 45 minutes in length and are $7 for each individual class, $18
for a full session or $50 for any three sessions. Remind mom to wear comfortable
clothes and bring a water bottle. Don’t miss this fabulous Just 4 Us series. To
