Otero Players to hold auditions for Evita
Don’t Cry for Argentina! Audition for it!

Otero Junior College’s theatre group, the Otero Players, will be holding auditions for Evita, the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice masterpiece, on September 13, 14 and 15, 2005 at the Ed Stafford Theatre, Humanities Center on the OJC Campus. Audition times are set for 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. all three days and are open to the community. Performance dates are set for November 18, 19 and 20, 2005 at OJC.

According to Dr. Ben Fisler, OJC theatre director, all the roles in this emotionally-charged musical are available and will be filled through the three-day audition process. Roles include: Eva Peron, Juan Peron, Che, Migaldi, and Peron’s mistress. “We also need to choose an ensemble cast of all ages, so anyone who has an interest in being a part of an exciting theatre production is invited to audition,” said Fisler. “Those who come to audition should dress to move and come prepared with 16 bars of music. They may also be asked to sing from the score,” he said.

For more information about the audition or the performance, contact Dr. Ben Fisler at 384-6835 or email: ben.fisler@ojc.edu
