Kikin Fonseca joins McDonald’s ‘Go Active!’ team
Francisco “Kikin” Fonseca, Mexico’s newest soccer star and an advocate of
physical activity has joined with McDonald’s to help encourage the Hispanic
community in the United States to lead a balanced and active lifestyle to
include physical activity in their daily routine.

lifestyle. |
“I am delighted to be working with McDonald’s to educate the Hispanic
community about the importance of physical activity and leading a balanced and
active lifestyle,” said Fonseca. “As the leader in the food industry, McDonald’s
has a unique opportunity to reach people on so many levels. Together, we are
committed to helping Hispanics make better choices through food and energy
balance.”
Kikin Fonseca began his professional career in the Division “A” of the Mexican
soccer league with Unión de Curtidores from León. He later joined the first
division of the league, with Pumas from UNAM and is currently one of the lead
forwards with one of Mexico’s most beloved teams, the “Maquina” from Cruz Azul.
Kikin has also made his mark on the Mexican National Team were he’s one of its
rising stars in the qualification period leading to World Cup 2006.
To support McDonald’s ongoing commitment, Fonseca will be encouraging the
Hispanic community to join in the Go Active! American Challenge by:
- Visiting several cities across the country as part of McDonald’s educational
outreach
- Participating in media opportunities that encourage children and families to
include physical activity in their daily routine
