Karaoke-Mania Contests are Open to Everyone at the 99th Annual El Paso County Fair!For the first time, The El Paso County Fair offers two unique Karaoke contests. They tie into the fair theme of Farmania – just crazy about the El Paso County Fair! Those who are crazy about karaoke, or first timers who have only dreamed of participating, are invited to this event. California’s Own Alan Redstone will be the emcee for these contests, and Alan brings his own sense of showmanship and humor to the stage. Two contests are offered, one for adults, 13 and over; and one for children 12 and under. These contests are open to everyone and there is no entry fee. Music will be provided or contestants may bring theirs. Early registration is not needed. Entrants may just arrive at the entertainment tent 20 minutes before the contests and sign in. Adults 13 & older – Saturday, July 24 - 5:00 to 7:00 PM Prizes for both contests are generously offered by Rick White of Rising Star Recording Studio, and by Ron and Mazie Baalman of the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. These businesses also have a presence as vendors at the fair. The El Paso County Fair is July 24 through August 1 in Calhan, Colorado which is 30 miles East of Colorado Springs on Highway 24.
