NEWSED Presents Cinco de Mayo “Celebrate Culture” Festival
Free admission includes variety of exciting activities showcasing Denver’s
Mexican heritage
NEWSED’s Cinco de Mayo celebration in Denver, sponsored by Coors Light, an all
day Mexican festival with authentic food, music and activities for the entire
family
Newsed will host an Opening Ceremony celebration for the 17th Annual Cinco de
Mayo festival. Speakers to include: Veronica Barela, NEWSED; Consul General of
Mexico Juan Marcos Gutierrez; U.S. Senator Wayne Allard; Hugo Patiño and Melissa
Coors, Coors Brewing Company
Highlights of the Cinco de Mayo Festival include:
- A vivid "Celebrate Culture" parade through downtown streets
- A Mariachi Mass
- Three stages of live entertainment featuring salsa, Latin jazz, Nortena,
bandas, Tex-Mex and R & B oldies
- Local artists and Native American markets, Mexican and other cultural foods
- Over 350 exhibitors, kids’ stage and activities
Saturday, May 1, 3:00 pm – Opening Ceremony and Coors Brewing Company presents
donation to NEWSED Festival: Saturday, May 1 and Sunday, May 2 from 10:00am to
8:00pm
The Cinco de Mayo Festival will take place at Denver’s Civic Center Park Opening
Ceremony - Civic Center Plaza, Greek Amphitheater stage.
