State University-Pueblo to hold Graduate School Fair
Colorado State University- Pueblo will host its first annual
Graduate School Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. on November 5 in the
Occhiato University Center Hearthwell Lounge. The event is free to undergraduate
students, alumni, employees, and anyone interested in furthering their
education.
According to Michelle Gjerde, director of Career Services at CSU-Pueblo,
the Graduate Fair will showcase more than 15 graduate degree programs available
from Colorado schools, including CSU-Pueblo, Colorado State University-Fort
Collins, Adams State College-Alamosa, Lesley College, Colorado School of
Mines-Golden, and Colorado College-Colorado Springs.
Graduate School is really an unknown option for many students,
unless they have an advisor or a mentor of many students don't know what you are
talking about. It is definitely something to think seriously about and
this is just our way of informing our undergraduates and others about additional
career options, ě said Gjerde
Representatives from CSU-Pueblo masters degree programs will be
on hand to answer questions in regarding degrees in Nursing, English, Business
Administration, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Social Work, Applied Natural
Science, Educational Leadership, Agriculture, Engineering, Counseling,
Education, and Human Resources.
As a part of the application process, free testing also will be
available from Kaplan Test Prep and the Princeton Review to fulfill requirements
of many degree programs.
