Academy Blvd. Project Begins Next Week
A Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) project to upgrade Academy
Boulevard (State Highway 83) between SH 115 and the Hancock Expressway started
Monday, July 28th. Improvements include rotomilling and asphalt paving,
and new guardrail, bridgerail and striping.
Work house are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Some
overnight work also is scheduled, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through
Thursday.
Traffic will be reduced to a single lane intermittently - northbound or
southbound - throughout most segments of the 4.3-mile project. At the
south end of the project, near SH 115, flaggers will alternate one lane of
traffic through the work zone. Delays are expected! A reduced 40 mph
speed limit will be enforced and state troopers will assist with traffic
control.
The project is scheduled for completion by the end of October. |
