CU Single Game Tickets On Sale
Including Just Over 900 For CU-CSU Game In Denver
Single game tickets for both home and road games for the upcoming 2003 University of Colorado football season went on sale Tuesday at the CU athletic ticket office in Boulder
The sale includes 902 tickets for the August 30 game against in-state rival Colorado State at INVESCO Field at Mile High in Denver; however, those will only be available through TicketMaster and CU's website
(www.cubuffs.com). There are 220 tickets on the fifth level that will be available at $50 each, while 682 club seats are selling at $85 apiece.
CU's allotment for the final game in Denver in the series for the foreseeable future in approximately 39,000 seats, with 7,500 earmarked for student use. The game will return to the Boulder campus for 2004 and 2005.
The home schedule is one of the most attractive in CU history, and this for a school that traditionally schedules top quality opposition. UCLA visits Folsom Field on Sept. 6, when CU's new suites and club seats officially open that will bring the stadium's capacity to about 53,750, an all-time high. Tickets for that game are $50, as are the ones for defending Big 12 champion Oklahoma (Oct. 25) and rival Nebraska (Nov. 28). Tickets for the other three home games all will run $45 each for defending Pac-10 champ Washington State (Sept. 13), Kansas (Oct. 11) and Missouri (Nov. 8).
CU has a "Fall Finale" package for the Missouri and Nebraska games in November; while fans can purchase a Missouri ticket separately, a Nebraska ticket may only be purchased with a companion ticket for the Missouri game.
Individual home game tickets, with the exception of the Nebraska game, will be available at CU's ticket office, all TicketsWest outlets (located at all Colorado King Soopers stores), on-line at
www.cubuffs.com or by phone (303-49-BUFFS, or 1-800-872-8337), but the Fall Finale package is only available through the CU ticket office.
Tickets are available for all five road games, including the lone non-conference match-up Sept. 20 at Florida State, the first time the two traditional football powers will meet on the gridiron. The handful of tickets that remain for that contest are $35. Tickets are more plentiful for the four Big 12 Conference away games, Oct. 4 at Baylor ($25), Oct. 18 at Kansas State ($45), Nov. 1 at Texas Tech ($25) and Nov. 15 at Iowa State ($35). Road game tickets are available only through the CU ticket office, either in-person or by phone.
