Colorado State Fair Confirms 2003 Free-Stage Entertainment Schedule
Free Venues to feature Jeff Bates, Steve Azar and Franky Perez

The Colorado State Fair has a long history of showcasing some of music's hottest newcomers is free performance on the Fairgrounds' Bud Entertainment Tent and Comcast Amphitheatre stages. Past entertainers featured in these free venues include Garth Brooks, Billy Dean and Little Texas. This year is no exception as some chart-climbing artists treat State Fair visitors to free performances during the 2003 Colorado State Fair.

Among the entertainers featured in the Bud Entertainment Tent during the 2003 Colorado State Fair is RCA recording artist Jeff Bates, whose debut sing "The Love Song" is currently No. 13 on Billboard's Hot Country Single chart. The song was enjoyed a spot on the chart for 24 weeks. Bates' new album Rainbow Man contains a collection of songs that reflect his own life experiences as the adopted son of Mississippi sharecroppers. Steve Azar is another up-and-coming star slated to perform fro free during the 2003 Colorado State Fair. Azar, who take the Comcast Amphitheatre stage Aug. 10-20 at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. each night, is enjoying the success of his debut Mercury Records album Waitin' on Joe. Franky Perez & the Highway Saints invade the Comcast Amphitheatre Aug. 25-26 with soulful, Cuban-inspired rock tunes off their new album Poor Man's Son.
