American Cancer Society will hold the following free programs in January:
American Cancer Society's Man to Man prostate cancer support group will meet
on Monday, Jan. 16 at the Memorial Hospital cafeteria from 5:30 - 7 p.m.
Man to Man is a support group for prostate cancer survivors and their families.
The support group is an opportunity for survivors to share experiences and
gather information on prostate cancer. The topic for the January meeting is "The
Positive Power of Change," with motivational speaker Doug Stevenson. For more

The American Cancer Society's :Look Good...Feel Better program is slated for
Monday, Jan. 6 at the Oncology Clinic, 320 West Fontanero, from noon to 2
p.m. and Monday, Jan. 13 at Penrose Hospital, 110 East Monroe, from noon to 2
p.m. this free program is open to women undergoing cancer treatment.
Participants learn make-up application and skin care at the sessions. Each woman
receives a make-up kit. Call The Oncology Clinic at 634-4130 or Linda Gardner at
Penrose Hospital at 776-5555 to register. Free wigs and prosthesis are also
available at the Society office, in addition to free wig styling. Call 636-5101
