PPWFC 2002 Teen Job and Career FairThe Pikes Peak Workforce Center (PPWFC) today announces its third annual Teen Job and Career Fair. The PPWFC 2002 Teen Job and Career Fair is targeted at young people age 14 to 21, who are looking for summer employment. Youth job seekers who attend the Job and Career Fair should bring a resume and dress to impress! The Pikes Peak Workforce Center is also seeking employers, who are looking for summer help, to participate in the Job Fair. There is no fee for exhibitors. By participating in the Teen Job and Career Fair, employers can interview a large number of teens in a short period of time. Teens get a chance to talk with multiple employers, explore job possibilities and practice their interviewing skills, at one location. For older teens, the Teen Job and Career Fair offers the oppoetunity to investigate secondary educational opportunities and career paths. Teens can meet with representatives from various schools such as DeVry Institute of Technology, Education America, and Fish Trax. Representatives from military branches including the United States Air Force Academy and US Army will also be present. Last year's Teen Job and Career Fair was attended by over 400 young job seekers and 57 employers including McDonald's, School District 11, Seven Falls, Santa's Workshop and the Colorado Springs Parks and Recreation Department. The PPWFC 2002 Teen Job and Career Fair will be held on March 20th from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the City Auditorium, 221 East Kiowa Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. The event is co-sponsored by the Colorado Springs Park and Recreation Department.
