Lucero named to Wells Fargo's Corporate Diversity Council

Priscilla Lucero will represent Pueblo and Colorado in Wells Fargo's Corporate Diversity Council, it was announced by Michael L. Matthews, president of Wells Fargo Bank in Pueblo. Lucero, a Wells Fargo vice president and business banker in Pueblo, will serve a three-year term on the Council.

Since its earliest days nearly 150 years ago, Wells Fargo has worked to develop an inclusive culture that understands and values the similarities and differences that exist among its team members, customers, suppliers, markets and communities.

The role of Wells Fargo's Corporate Diversity Council is to advise senior management on ways to embrace and celebrate diversity. The Council is comprised of approximately 30 team members from the company's various lines of business, including community banking (which Lucero represents), mortgage, investments, insurance, and consumer and business finance. Council members share information and serve as change-agents in their business unit.

"I can't think of anyone better than Priscilla to represent our community, our customers and our team members to the highest level of Wells Fargo management," said Matthews. "Her overall perspective, with strong ties in the Pueblo community, will help Wells Fargo provide better service to our customers and create more opportunities for our team members."

"I am passionate about the importance of creating and inclusive environment and am proud to have been chosen for this role," said Lucero. "I'm looking forward to the opportunity to provide my insight."

Lucero has more than 18 years experience in the financial services industry. She joined Wells Fargo in 1984 and has held a number of positions, including loan documentation supervisor, operations supervisor and Community Reinvestment Act compliance coordinator. She is a long-time resident of Pueblo, CO, and holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration and a MBA from the University of Southern Colorado.

Lucero is active in the Pueblo community and has been involved in the Latino Chamber of Commerce (past chairperson), the Pueblo Economic Development Corporation, The Business Women's Network and the Pueblo Hispanic Education Foundation, among many others. In 2001, Lucero was named Business Women of the Year by the Business Women's Network, and Most Distinguished Woman by the Latino Chamber of Commerce.

Wells Fargo Bank in Colorado serves more than 600,000 customers through more than 125 banking stored and 200 ATMs in more than 50 communities throughout the state, including three banking stores in Pueblo, CO.
