You could be the next Colorado State Fair Fiesta Queen
The 34th Annual Colorado State Fair Fiesta Queen Scholarship Pageant & Coronation will be held at 12:30 pm on Saturday, April 15th at The Sangre De Cristo Arts & Conference Center Theater. There are twelve contestants vying for the title of 2000 Colorado State Fair Fiesta Queen.
The Colorado State Fair Fiesta Committee will be awarding five scholarships totaling $6,000 dollars.
The Contestants are:
Angela M. Hernandez
17, a student at Coronado High School and is from Colorado Springs, CO. Daughter of Ricardo and Theresa Hernandez.
Randi L. Gonzales
18, a student at the University of Southern Colorado and is from Pueblo, CO. Daughter of Rudy Gonzales and Rose Vigil.
Selena B. Ruiz
18, a student at South High School and is from Pueblo, CO. Daughter of Jesus and Dolores Ruiz.
Crystal A. Ybarra
18, a student at Palmer High School and is from Colorado Springs, CO. Daughter of Tommy and Roberta Ybarra.
Jennifer Ceja
20, a student at the University of Southern Colorado and is from Colorado Springs, CO. Daughter of Steffany Beasley.
Alexandria R. Taylor
19, a student at the University of Southern Colorado and is from Fort Garland, CO. Daughter of Robert and Jeanette Taylor.
Jessica A. Martinez
19, a student at Pueblo Community College and is from Trinidad, CO. Daughter of Thomas and Linda Martinez.
Andrea M. Castro
19, a student at the University of Southern Colorado and is from Pueblo, CO. Daughter of Lorraine and Jake Vallejo and Manuel Castro and Cindy Herrera.
Tiffany L. Sotelo
20, a student at Pueblo Community College and is from Pueblo, CO. Daughter of Ernestina Sotelo Lobato.
Jessica L. Trujillo
18, a student at Greeley Central High School and is from Greeley, CO. Daughter of Jerry and Lori Trujillo.
Francesca D. La Combe
18, a student at Pueblo County High School and is from San Luis, CO. Daughter of Tony and Brenda LaCombe.
Sara Roybal
17, a student at Centennial High School and the University of Southern Colorado and is from Pueblo West. Daughter of the late Jimmy Roybal and Velma Romero Roybal.
The queen will be crowned during the coronation ball at 8:00 p.m. Saturday night at the Sangre de Cristo Arts & Conference Center Ballroom. Tickets for the pageant are $3.00 at the door. Tickets for the Coronation Ball are $8 in advance at the door.
The band will be Los Jalapeños from Rocky Ford, CO.
